Another year has come to a close, and we couldn’t be more excited to share Fox & Brazen’s top 24 images from 2024! From swoon-worthy weddings to magical Santa moments and even some truly love-filled family sessions, these images showcase the unforgettable stories and emotions we were privileged to capture this year. Curated by our very own Jen (½ the talent behind the lens and lover of bold, beautiful storytelling), these are the photos that struck a cord in our minds — and in our hearts.

1. Three Amigos
Why it made the list: my favorite way to kick off the year is to have one of my favorite subjects in front of the lens. This adorable moment of the resident doggos makes my heart melt faster than snow on a sunny day.
2. Blossoms and Beginnings
Why it made the list: the journey to parenthood is always an adventure and there is no better way to do it than with your best friend hand in hand. This moment from Longwood Gardens just captures the connection these two share from their maternity session and waiting for baby.
3. The Cheeky Black and White Moment
Why it made the list: Absolutely loved hanging at this NYC workshop. This Nanette setup inspired us totally as artists. This shot captures a striking pose with contrast that demands attention. It’s bold, empowering, and packed with cheeky personality—it’s artful boudoir at its best.
4. The Art of Saying Yes
Why it made the list: This image is all about that magical calm during the whirlwind of “I do.” and sharing your promises with each other.
5. Santa’s Little Helper
Why it made the list: It doesn’t get much better than Santa by the lights of the 2024 Christmas trees with a wide-eyed smiling kiddo. This captivating smile (and the wink of the eye) is the epitome of cozy holiday traditions. We cannot get enough of the enchanting bonds between Santa and his youngest believers – especially when he lets them hang ornaments on the tree.
6. Enchanted Bubbles
Why it made the list: We love our Aquarium couples – we also love when the AAQ Catering Crew and Adventure Aquarium come together to create an extra special moment for newlyweds. This duo found themselves surrounded by bountiful bubbles for amazing bubble moment in the rotunda – just a moment created for this couple.
7. A Hallmark Happy Moment
Why it made the list: A family huddled together, admiring ornaments at the Christmas tree farm, captured the true essence of holiday warmth. Festive sweaters made it a scene straight out of a holiday movie! We worked hard pulling together some props for three different tree farm vignettes for our mini sessions. Certainly going to make this 2024 magical spot happen again in 2025 to kick off the holiday season.
8. Elegance in Every Step
Why it made the list: Historical settings + modern elegance = unforgettable. The vintage tones and classic backdrop give it an everlasting charm, as if plucked directly from an old romance film.
9. Making Spirits Bright
Why it made the list: We spend months set planning and designing to have unique backdrops for our 2024 Santa Experience and to see it all come together during our pre-season branding session just kicks off the holiday season for us. Our Santa is also so magical and always makes the nice list for creating captivating moments for the kids during their visit to our studio.
10. The Four-Legged Ring Bearer
Why it made the list: Because fur babies are family too! We love it when couples include EVERYONE they love in the processional for the ceremony. Dressed to their best, this pup practically stole the show (and our hearts) at this 2024 wedding.
11. Piatnitzkysaurus Posing Perfection
Why it made the list: This silly PJ moment during this mini session easily made the top favorites at of the most magical spots at Longwood Gardens. The color harmony is perfectly blended with the background, and so is his perfect timing for his dinosaur impression.
12. Telling Love Stories
Why it made the list: Engagement sessions are some of our favorite sessions as we get to document the “official” start to everyone’s love stories. We learn about hobbies and first dates and the joys people share with their spouses. We get to laugh together and make some of the most memorable images… like this one from a bookstore in 2024 with actual real books.
13. Beer-Bearer Shenanigans
Why it made the list: There is nothing better than a cold beer on a warm afternoon. What makes it better? Having that beer delivered by two gentlemen in suits while you wait to watch two people you love tie the knot during this 2024 wedding ceremony at Phoenixville Foundry. We love incorporating unique traditions and fun into every aspect of the wedding day.
14. Love Among the Sharks
Why it made the list: Framed by the softly lit retrofuturistic underwater world and graceful sharks swimming in the background, this image blends adventure with an air of romance. It’s a stunning reminder that love can thrive anywhere—even in the most unexpected places.
15. Love Me Fierce
Why it made the list: Captured during a family session, these two siblings sharing a snuggly moment (by holding her sister in place via her head) mid-photo shoot melted our hearts. We hope she always loves her special people this fiercely (and shows it)!
16. The Bestest of Wedding Day Luck
Why it made the list: Contrary to popular belief, rain doesn’t ruin a wedding day — it makes it iconic. This duo embraced the rain and chose to do their first look in front of a waterfall as the rain fell gently down. They are guaranteed 150 years of marriage good luck (at least) and their love story really captured the joy of just wanting to be with your person on your wedding day.
17. Eeny Meeny Miny Moe
Why it made the list: three brothers, a bribe, and mom asking for some genuine smiles. This photo totally captures the giggles you share with your siblings. You can’t write this level of laughs — you just capture it!
18. Mountain Side Marriage
Why it made the list: Crisp autumn air, golden leaves, and a jaw-dropping mountain backdrop made this 2024 ceremony at Blue Mountain unforgettable. It’s unforgettable for us because it’s taken on a very special lens to get this dreamy effect of the valley being in full color (almost painterly) and the full ceremony site in panoramic style. We call this a commitment lens because once it’s on the camera, you’re making a commitment to make this photo happen come hell or high water!
19. Feliz Naughty Dog
Why it made the list: He clearly made the naughty list. Poor Blitzen. This one just makes me giggle. Mischievous vibes meet holiday charm, and we’re 100% here for it.
20. Going My Way?
Why it made the list: Framed by the dramatic leading lines of a train car, this model couple’s engagement photo felt straight out of a movie. Just an honor (as always) to keep coming back to Saint Louis to teach at Shutterfest, especially one on posing engagement sessions in 2024.
21. Just a Boy and His Dog (and two helping hands)
Why it made the list: We all work hard during our sessions, but this particular moment mom and dad are working double to keep this boy and his dog at bay so we can capture the perfect moment. End of life sessions for our four-legged friends are so emotional and so rewarding – seriously, we don’t deserve dogs. This one was extra special as we documented his journey from his parents engagement, their wedding, their maternity, and now some special photos with his human boy before a tearful goodbye to this faithful friend.
22. Last at Longwood
Why it made the list: Our last session at Longwood Gardens marked the end of an era. This one is so iconic as it’s the last session at Longwood Gardens we photographed as 2024 brought a new set of rules to this gem of a photography location. Truly a photographer’s smorgasborg of amazing backdrops, we were so lucky to have such a glorious location for engagements, families, and wedding sessions for so many wonderful years with no extra hoops for our clients to jump through. We want to extend a hearty thank you to Longwood Gardens for making so many of our photo sessions memorable since the start of our business. We’re hoping the rules get modified for the 2025 season so we can continue to make some beautiful memories with future clients.
23. Scuba Santa
Why it made the list: Santa. Underwater. Surrounded by turtles and sharks. At the Adventure Aquarium it makes us really proud moment for us to be combining our love of the aquarium, Santa, and branding for businesses. This moment really brings us full so much joy (not just because it’s Santa underwater with sharkies and some turtles – one named Bob) because we used to volunteer as underwater divers at Adventure Aquarium and Christmas underwater certainly holds a special place in our hearts as we’ve experienced this moment from inside the tank.
24. A Circle is Round – it has No End
Why it made the list: hands tell the most amazing stories and this photojournalistic snap from a wedding sums up so many of the adventures and great moments we got to experience in 2024. We think this photo sums up the joy, the hope, and the hard work that goes into married life.
