Oh my goodness yes! We're honored to be part of your wedding dreams! No matter the reason we couldn't connect for your original wedding day (pandemic, availability, budget, you just hadn't met us yet), we're happy to capture your dream session.

No matter if this is our first time working together, or our seventh, we're going to do a kick-ass job creating heirloom imagery from your love story with a smile on our face the entire time! We also love, well, LOVE and we totally believe in happily ever afters!  We have ten plus years of wedding events in our experience tool belt and we're excited to have the opportunity to be your photographers!

There is no perfect answer to this question. Typically, if you don't have any specific weather or season requirements (aka, you got married in the summer but want winter photos) we recommend scheduling your session within a month of your wedding date so your wedding day styling is still similar (hair styles, clothing fits, that lovey-dovey look in your newly married eyes), but realistically there is no specific requirement for the date of your session.

If you have a specific location or season in mind that prevents from scheduling close to your wedding date, it's not a problem! The events of 2020 certainly had a crazy impact on what was possible for capturing portraits on your wedding day and we're here to plan your dream session whether it's 6 months since your date or 2 years.

Here's some food for thought - Déjà vu Portrait Sessions also make a great one year anniversary celebration photo experience (did you know that the traditional one year gift is paper - so you can print a few of your favorites from our session together to celebrate).

We book anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months in advance for Déjà vu Portrait Sessions - so if you're ready and you're interested in having us photograph your dream session, send us a message asap! We only photograph one event per day, so when we're booked, we're booked! It's $250 to lock in your session with us and this retainer is put towards your final collection balance.

Déjà vu sessions are typically available from Monday through Thursdays as we shoot full day events most weekends. If we have weekend availability we're happy to schedule you for an additional fee.

Oh. My. Gosh. Destination Déjà vu sessions are some of our absolute FAVORITE types of sessions to photograph!!! Put us on a plane stat!

Where do you want to go? Our portfolio includes destinations in Italy, Iceland, Hawaii, Mexico and the islands. There is a world out there to explore and we're ready to take this adventure with you! We find that travel is included in many of our client's hobbies and joint hobbies and they desire to have this specific trait captured in photos. 

If you prefer to stay a but more local - some of the greatest destinations are right in our backyard. From our home city of Philadelphia to New York and Baltimore - we're happy to accommodate our couples with planning their dream location.

In summary: Have passports will travel.

All the photos delivered from your session will be color corrected and cropped. We can remove any temporary blemishes (marks that typically disappear within two weeks like pimples or shaving cuts) and anything that is printed in our heirloom products we do a deep dive into retouching for a more extensive photo finishing.  All our editing is done in-house by Jen.

Short Answer: Yes.
Long Answer: Yes. Professional hair and makeup will enhance your best features as well as give you more confidence in front of the camera. A great makeup artist will analyze your face to create a look that is fresh, polished, and flattering - this will help downplay any blemishes or discoloration and bring out the twinkle in your eyes. One of the best parts of a professional makeup artist is they have knowledge in prepping your face for the the lighting we use to create a professional portrait.

We absolutely adore unique themes and props for a Déjà vu session if they are important to you and your fiancé(e). Some of our favorite sessions combine hobbies and activities of both individuals for a fun mashup. Other sessions couples come together to share their combined love for something or someone (like their pup!).

If you'd like to incorporate props or an intricate theme into your session, we encourage you to email us prior to the date to discuss. Some props and ideas are more complicated than others and we want to make sure we can incorporate it into what we have planned for our time together. Sometimes we choose locations (like Longwood Gardens) that do not allow props (like signs or balloons or doggos) - so it's always good to check with us first!

We never say no to bringing your doggo to be in front of our camera - I'd probably bring my dogs everywhere if I could bring them (wouldn't grocery shopping be MUCH more interesting?). We recommend bringing along a person to your session whom is a dedicated dog watcher and wrangler - this way someone can make sure your pup has the proper amount of attention and can hold the leash while we photograph just the two of you.

Just as a heads up, even if we're 100% cool with your dog being present, you'll need to check with the venue or session location. Sometimes we photograph at locations where pets are not allowed (like Longwood Gardens) - so make sure you read the fine print before you select your locations!

Side note: I had someone ask if they could bring their goat - if you have a pet goat, met at a goat yoga class, make goat cheese together as a hobby, or own a goat farm together than sure - that sounds like a super fun addition to your session (but only if they're house broken or you're prepped to clean up after your four-legged friend)!

Yes yes yes! We're happy to provide as much or as little posing assistance as you required. In fact, at least 80-90% of the people you see on our website are "self proclaimed awkward." Don't worry, you'll fit right in with our dream clients! Most of our clients don't have a clue what to do with their faces, hands, or feet before they've gone through a photography session with us and we've been able to successfully impart our poses and desired emotions for many people who have come to be repeat clients. 

Ultimately our goal is to create images that are uniquely you and we'll help pose you and your spouse to capture your spirits.

There is no product purchase requirement beyond your initial fee.

Post session, you may always add additional digitals or products. We do offer an amazing line of wall art which is a perfect way to showcase a fantastic moment from your dream session. After your initial experience investment, our wall art starts at $1.25 per square inch and our albums begin at $750. Some individuals spend $500 highlighting their portrait session in physical products, others spend $5,000, but the important thing to note is these heirloom products are made to last beyond your lifetime (for those future generations!) with their amazing craftsmanship and handmade beauty imported from Italy. We are creating a product that will outlive us all.

We have no specific requirements on what you should (or shouldn't) wear during your Déjà vu Portrait Session. Ideally, Déjà vu Portrait sessions are designed to highlight your wedding attire and your new status as a married couple, but it's just a suggestion. 

Wedding Gowns - we recommend not getting your dress cleaned prior to our session together UNLESS it was the casualty of someone spilling something traumatic all over your gown. Jen is great with Photoshop, but large stains will likely show in your images. Gowns should be relatively wrinkle free - so make sure you free your gown from it's plastic storage bag prison prior to our session together, undo the bustle, and give those wrinkles a little steam.

Rental Tux or Suit - If our Déjà vu Portrait session occurs within a few days of the original wedding date, some rental places will let you extend your rental for a minimal fee. Some Mom & Pop Shops (yay small business!) may give you a deal on a follow-up rental. You may already have a dressy outfit in your closet that may work as well.

If wearing your original wedding outfit is not an option (or simply not desired) choose something that you feel comfortable in and your new spouse signs off on. We've done some super cute sessions with one in their original wedding clothes (ie bride in gown with a more casual hair style) and spouse in something more relaxed (ie groom in linen pants and a button shirt with no jacket).

We have a multitude of payment plans available for our portrait sessions and our heirloom products. Everyone's situation is different, and our goal is to make sure you have quality photography as well as amazing products that will last beyond your lifetime and tell your unique story to future generations.
