We book anywhere from 7 days to 9 months in advance for portrait coverage - so if you're ready and you're interested in having us photograph you,  send us a message asap! 

Yes yes yes! We're happy to provide as much or as little posing assistance as you required. In fact, at least 80-90% of the people you see on our website are "self proclaimed awkward." Don't worry, you'll fit right in with our dream clients! Most of our clients don't have a clue what to do with their faces, hands, or feet before they've gone through a photography session with us and we've been able to successfully impart our poses and desired emotions for many people who have come to be repeat clients. 

Short Answer: Yes.
Long Answer: Yes. Professional hair and makeup will enhance your best features as well as give you more confidence in front of the camera. A great makeup artist will analyze your face to create a look that is fresh, polished, and flattering - this will help downplay any blemishes or discoloration and bring out the twinkle in your eyes. One of the best parts of a professional makeup artist is they have knowledge in prepping your face for the the lighting we use to create a professional portrait.

Oh. My. Gosh. Destination sessions are some of our absolute FAVORITE!!! Put us on a plane stat!

Traveling to a unique cool location is certainly the best way to make a splash for your senior session. The best places to go are where you already have history (for example, your favorite vacation spot) or a destination where you expect you're going to make some amazing history in the near future (your new college town or study abroad potential location perhaps makes the list).

How far will we travel? Where do you want to go? Our portfolio includes destinations in Italy, Iceland, Hawaii, Mexico and the islands. There is a world out there to explore and we're ready to take this adventure with you!

If you prefer to stay a bit more local - some of the greatest destinations are right in our backyard. From our home city of Philadelphia to New York and Baltimore - we're happy to accommodate our clients with photographing at only the best locations.

So... in closing --- Have passports will travel.

All the photos delivered from your portrait session will be color corrected and cropped. For the main subject(s), we can remove any temporary blemishes (marks that typically disappear within two weeks like pimples or shaving cuts) and anything that is printed in our heirloom products we do a deep dive into retouching for a more extensive photo finishing. Yassss! We LOVE props for senior sessions! Props can help tell such a great story about who you are!

If you'd like to incorporate props into your session, we encourage you to email us prior to the date to discuss. Some props are more complicated than others and we want to make sure we can incorporate it into what we have planned for our time together.

We have specific requirements for incorporating animals into your session or a car/motorcycle/plane (mostly making sure the location of choice is a good fit to highlight this hobby/friend) - so let's sit down and discuss all the ideas you have for making your personality shine! Sometimes we choose locations (like Longwood Gardens) that do not allow props (like signs or balloons) - so it's always good to check with us first!

We never say no to bringing your doggo to be in front of our camera - I'd probably bring my dogs everywhere if I could bring them (wouldn't grocery shopping be MUCH more interesting?). We recommend bringing along a person to your session whom is a dedicated dog watcher and wrangler - this way someone can make sure your pup has the proper amount of attention and can hold the leash while we photograph you solo for a few shots.

Just as a heads up, even if we're 100% cool with your dog being present, you'll need to check with your session location. Sometimes we photograph at locations where pets are not allowed (like Longwood Gardens) - so make sure you read the fine print before you select your locations!

Side note: I had someone ask if they could bring their goat - if you have a pet goat, participate in a goat yoga class, make goat cheese together as a hobby, or grew up a goat farm than sure - that sounds like a super fun addition to your session (but only if they're house broken or you're prepped to clean up after your four-legged friend)!

Prior to your session we'll sit down and brainstorm every little detail we will need to know for your senior photography session. We LOVE knowing what types of images you'd like to see in portrait gallery.  We LOVE knowing these little details for your photography wish list. On the other hand...

We do not recreate other photographer's work and we will not copy your Pinterest Board one-for-one during your photography session. We want YOUR moments and YOUR photographs to be uniquely you and tell your beautiful life story.

There is no product purchase requirement beyond your initial fee.

Post session, you may always add additional digitals or products. We do offer an amazing line of wall art which is a perfect way to showcase a fantastic moment from your big day.  After your initial experience investment, our wall art starts at $1.25 per square inch and our albums begin at $750. Some individuals spend $500 highlighting their portrait session in physical products, others spend $5,000, but the important thing to note is these heirloom products are made to last beyond your lifetime (for those future generations!) with their amazing craftsmanship and handmade beauty imported from Italy. We are creating a product that will outlive us all.

I am SO bummed to admit that Senior Photography (as we know it now) was not a thing back when we graduated high school! BUT if I could dream up my perfect session for when I was a senior...

Jen: I'd certainly have a camera in my hand as a prop since I was the youngest yearbook chief my school ever had PLUS I started the school newspaper back up while I was in high school. If I wanted to up the fun factor - I'd probably photograph in a studio surrounded by toys (think GIANT Legos, board games, and other things) because I grew up working in my parent's toy store and it would be super fun to have a gluttonous amount of toys in my photo.

Travis: Back in high school I was in every music and art performing art organization my high school had to offer. My favorite was jazz band and playing instruments. So I would channel my love for film noir and go with a smokey jazz night club scene, with my saxophone.

We'd LOVE to have your parents join you for you session - actually, if you're under 18 we require a guardian to be present with you.  Friends are also welcome (we suggest limiting it to one friend) as long as they are a positively encouraging and helpful during the session to help you find your comfort zone. Our goal for your session is to have loads of fun and create some amazing photos that commemorate your senior year.
