Respecting Privacy in Family Photos: Katie & Matt’s Story

When Katie and Matt reached out to us at Fox & Brazen, they had two heartfelt requests: one to capture their family’s story, and two please don’t share their daughters’ faces online. It’s a request we hear often and we are totally thrilled to honor because, let’s face it, this family is nothing short of amazing, they deserve AMAZING PHOTOS, and, ultimately, privacy matters!

Katie and Matt’s story is one of love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos — the kind of chaos that makes life beautiful. From their beginnings at Dorney Park to their life in Phoenixville with their two daughters, and their dog, Emma, this family’s journey is one worth celebrating. And what better way to celebrate than with a photo session that’s as unique and vibrant as they are?

A Love Story Built on Adventure

Katie and Matt’s love story began in the most unexpected of places: Dorney Park. Matt was Katie’s supervisor’s supervisor (cue the workplace romance jokes!), and their connection grew from there. Over the years, they’ve built a life filled with adventure, from spontaneous road trips to Boston for a Red Sox victory parade to riding 144 roller coasters together as a couple.

Their life together is sprinkled with snow—literally. Snow has been present during so many of their big moments, from their wedding day to the birth of their first daughter. And while their second daughter, wasn’t born in the snow, her dramatic arrival in the back of their car on Route 202 is a story they’ll be telling for years to come!

Why Privacy Matters

Katie and Matt’s decision to keep their daughters’ faces off social media is a testament to their love and care as parents. In a world where oversharing is the norm, they’ve chosen to protect their girls’ privacy, allowing them to grow up without the pressures of the online world.

At Fox & Brazen, we believe every family deserves photos that tell their story authentically. For Katie and Matt, we delivered a full gallery of beautiful moments — smiling and goofy faces and all — that they can treasure forever. But here on the blog, we’re sharing a few of the more creative shots that keep their kiddos’ faces out of the spotlight. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between preserving their privacy and showcasing the love and connection that makes their family so special.

Not every photo needs to be shared with the world — some memories are meant to stay within the family, and we’re all for it. Katie and Matt’s session is a beautiful reminder that honoring privacy doesn’t take away from the magic of the moment. And trust us, the photos? Totally and completely awesomesauce (but you’ll just have to take our word for it)!

A Day in Phoenixville

For their session, Katie and Matt wanted to highlight the places that mean the most to them in Phoenixville, their hometown of 12 years. To be fair, Phoenixville is pretty rad considering Town & Leisure just ranked our beautiful town as one of the top 10 best small towns to live in the US (we couldn’t agree more). We started our photography session right off Bridge Street, where the girls giggled and played while Emma, their 10-year-old dog, kept a watchful eye… on the bag of treats that is.

As we wandered through downtown, we stopped at the mural across from our studio for a photo that can only be described as iconic. The girls brought their sassiest attitudes, and the result was a shot that looked like a 90s band cover. Even Emma got in on the action, striking a pose that would make any dog model jealous.

We ended the session on the bridge, where the girls took charge with some goofy poses that had us all laughing. It was the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos—just like family life.

Honoring Their Story

This session was particularly special because it marked Katie and Matt’s first professional family photos since their wedding. It was an honor to capture this moment in their journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to tell their story while respecting their wishes for keeping their girls faces off the internet – privacy matters to us too!

Katie and Matt’s ability to embrace the chaos, find joy in the little moments, and prioritize what truly matters is something we can all learn from. Whether it’s their mini-golf championships (yes, there’s a plaque!) or their shared love of Survivor, this family knows how to have fun.

Your Family, Your Story

Katie and Matt’s session is a beautiful reminder that family photos are about more than just capturing a moment—they’re about celebrating your story, your way. Whether you’re looking to keep your photos private or share them with the world, we’re here to help you create memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

If you’re ready to celebrate your family’s unique story, we’d love to be part of your journey. Let’s make some magic together and if privacy matters to you too, it matters to us as well!
