A Few of My Favorite Things About the Phoenixville Foundry

Venue Feature

MUSINGS NOTED About:

There are so many wonderful venues to choose from in the Philadelphia area – we’re going to feature some of our favorites! Today I’m going to chat about the Phoenixville Foundry, located in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania (just a hop skip and a jump from our studio!).

The Phoenixville Foundry is just an absolutely stunning wedding venue. I find that it is interesting enough that if you didn’t want to blow your decor budget that you could stick with the charm of the historic building. On the flip side, if you wanted to add your own bits of flair, the Phoenixville Foundry is spacious enough to host some really unique setups.

1. The Drippy Long Sparkly Absolutely Gorg Chandeliers

The first thing I ALWAYS mention when clients tell me they’ve booked the Phoenixville Foundry is how much I’m obsessed with the chandeliers and how I want to photograph ALL their portraits in front of them. I literally want these for my house (we’d totally have the fanciest dinning room lighting ever, haha). Either way, I love how they can be photographed with a natural flair or we can bring in some off-camera lighting for something a bit more moody.

2. The Large Exterior Doors

My favorite spot on property and portraits is to shoot in front of the green doors near the entry. The color of the doors are such a flattering backdrop and so plain and simple for photos. It’s certainly one of my favored spots for first looks, note reading, family photos, or an iconic veil drop.

3. The Large Windows in the Dinning Room/Ballroom

Whether you’re having your portraits taken inside or outside the Phoenixville Foundry, the practically two story windows or the SUPER stylish clerestory windows are certainly an impressive feature in the ballroom and add such an amazing upscale class to your event photos.

4. It’s Perfect Space for Small AND Large Gatherings

Hosting a party of 300? No problem. Hosting a small micro wedding with 20 guests? Amazing. I adore how versatile the space is at the Phoenixville Foundry and we’ve experienced all types of events from 10 guests to over 250 celebrating in their space. It’s great to know that the wedding couple is safe to do both their ceremony and reception here since they have a great indoor and outdoor option for ceremonies.

5. OMGOODNESS the Food. YUM

I am always insanely impressed at how amazing the food looks and tastes at the Phoenixville Foundry Events. The layout of the tables is also absolute perfection. If you leave a Phoenixville Foundry wedding hungry… it’s your own damn fault! LOL

6. Historic Charm

The historic charm that the Phoenixville Foundry is a fantastic balance of unique and functional (read all about it here). One feature that really stands out to me is the arc of Phoenix Columns outside in the courtyard – they add such a great texture to portraits and really makes the outdoor ceremony space feel united.
